CM Yogi maintains his zero tolerance policy against corruption

Lucknow: CM Yogi Adityanath has once again taken strict action under the Zero Tolerance policy against negligence and corruption. On the instructions of the Chief Minister, four people including two consolidation officers have been suspended for delay, negligence, irregularities in the settlement of consolidation related cases. Along with this, charge sheets have been issued against many including disciplinary action.

Strict action against many consolidation employees-officers of Banda for negligence

Consolidation Commissioner GS Naveen said that on the instructions of CM Yogi, Assistant Consolidation Officer Akhilesh Chandra Srivastava has been suspended for irregularities in preparing the preliminary consolidation plan in village Baithwalia of Maharajganj and instructions have been given for departmental action. Along with this, the Deputy Director Consolidation has been instructed to rectify the irregularities and settle the pending surveillances through the Gram Adalat soon.

Similarly, Consolidation Officer Shailendra Srivastava has been suspended for irregularities in village Silehta of Banda and departmental action has been recommended. Instructions were given to issue additional chargesheet against Assistant Consolidation Officer Arun Narayan Singh, who was earlier suspended for irregularities in this village, and to take disciplinary action against the then Consolidator Kamta Prasad, currently Assistant Consolidation Officer, by suspending him for irregularities.

Instructions were given to issue additional chargesheet against Consolidation Lekhpal Vikas Singh, who was earlier suspended for irregularities in this village. Similarly, instructions were given to issue additional chargesheet against Consolidation Officer Rana Pratap (who was already suspended).

Muzaffarnagar’s Settlement Officer Consolidation suspended over irregularities

The Consolidation Commissioner said that farmers of various villages had complained about irregularities in the ongoing consolidation in Bijnor. After the investigation report of the District Magistrate, a committee was constituted at the Directorate level and an investigation was conducted. On finding the complaint of irregularities during consolidation correct in the investigation, the then Settlement Officer Vijay Kumar, currently Settlement Officer Consolidation Muzaffarnagar, was suspended and instructions were given to take disciplinary action.

Also, the Deputy Director Consolidation was instructed to remove the irregularities. Apart from this, a letter has been sent to the government for disciplinary action against Gonda’s Settlement Officer Consolidation Devendra Singh for not settling the cases and lax supervision.

He told that the Additional Municipal Commissioner of Lucknow Municipal Corporation had complained about irregularities by Consolidation Lekhpal Rajendra Kumar Yadav of Mirzapur attached to him. On this, the affiliation was terminated with immediate effect and the Settlement Officer Consolidation of Mirzapur was instructed to take disciplinary action against the Lekhpal.

Instructions for disciplinary action against retired Consolidation Officer, Assistant Consolidation Officer for negligence

On the basis of the report of Azamgarh District Magistrate, instructions were given for disciplinary action against Consolidation Officer (Retd.) Shail Rajiv Kamal, Assistant Consolidation Officer (Retd.) Mohan Lal Srivastava, Radheshyam Verma, Chakradhar Trigunayat and Jainendra Pratap who were guilty of lax supervision and laxity in work in Consolidation works. An explanation has been sought from the investigating officer, Deputy Director Consolidation, for not submitting the investigation report, which has been going on for the last ten years against the then Consolidation Officer, Virendra Prakash, currently Assistant Consolidation Officer, to the Directorate regarding irregularities in the consolidation work in Muzaffarnagar.
