The approval was granted during the review meeting of the Public Works Department’s Prayagraj Division held at the ICCC auditorium located at the Mela Pradhikaran on Monday under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Principal Secretary, Public Works Department, presented the updated progress of the projects approved in the previous year and gave a detailed presentation of the development works proposed Assembly constituency-wise for the year 2026-27.

Thereafter, the Chief Minister conducted a sequential review of the proposals received from all 28 Assembly constituencies of the division, including 12 in Prayagraj, 7 in Pratapgarh, 6 in Fatehpur, and 3 in Kaushambi, and sought suggestions and feedback from all public representatives.

The Chief Minister directed, “The proposal be examined and necessary action be taken so that, along with ensuring the convenience of Kanwar pilgrims, regular traffic movement and commercial activities can continue without disruption.”

Besides this, while reviewing the development proposals received Assembly constituency-wise, Chief Minister Yogi directed that all public representatives should determine the priority of development works according to the needs of their respective constituencies. Schemes should be selected keeping local requirements in mind. The proposals for the most essential construction works should be submitted first. If any proposal requires modification or if there is any new suggestion, it should be submitted immediately so that approval can be granted on time.

He said, “There should be no unnecessary delay in development schemes and that all procedures should be completed within the stipulated time frame.”

The CM gave clear directions that the foundation stones for all approved development projects should be laid and construction work should begin by August 15.

He also directed that regular and effective monitoring of the projects be ensured so that all works are completed within the prescribed timeline and in accordance with quality standards.
