Bareilly: A career counselling session was organised at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University in Bareilly under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan-2026 to guide students on career planning and preparation for competitive examinations.
The session, organised as part of activities prescribed by the government, provided students with information about career opportunities available in various fields and guidance on preparing for competitive examinations.
Students were informed that undergraduate and postgraduate courses open up a range of career pathways depending on their interests, qualifications and capabilities. Options discussed included higher education, research, teaching, administrative services, banking and other employment-oriented fields.
The session also covered examinations such as UGC-NET, UPPSC, IAS/PCS and banking examinations. Students received guidance on examination patterns, syllabi, study materials, time management, regular practice and effective preparation strategies. Information was also shared about government schemes and opportunities related to competitive examinations and skill development.
In a message, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anil Kumar Rai emphasised the importance of identifying career goals at an early stage in an increasingly competitive environment. He said that timely information about career options and competitive examinations can help students organise their preparation more effectively.
The Vice-Chancellor said career counselling can help students choose suitable career paths according to their interests, abilities and capabilities. He encouraged students to set clear goals from the early stages of their academic journey, develop regular study habits and make systematic use of available opportunities.
The programme was organised under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan-2026 as part of activities prescribed by the government and concerned departments.
