Bareilly: A one-day mega employment fair was organised at Rajshree Group of Institutions on Pilibhit Road in the Nawabganj Assembly constituency, as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. The event was jointly organised by the Rajshree Group of Institutions and the Regional Employment Office, Bareilly.
Around 55 reputed private-sector companies, offering technical and non-technical positions, participated in the recruitment drive. A total of 2,150 candidates registered for the fair, while 684 candidates were selected for employment opportunities.
The fair was inaugurated by MLC Bahoran Lal Maurya, District Magistrate Avinash Singh, Chief Development Officer Devyani, Assistant Director (Employment) B.V.S. Sengar, Rajshree Group Chairman Rajendra Kumar Agrawal and Secretary Rakesh Kumar Agrawal, among others, through the traditional lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to Goddess Saraswati.
Bareilly MP Chhatrapal Gangwar and Nawabganj MLA Dr M.P. Arya participated in the appointment letter distribution ceremony. Eleven selected candidates were symbolically presented with appointment letters and congratulated on their achievement.
Addressing candidates, District Magistrate Avinash Singh stressed the importance of hard work, determination and setting clear goals. He interacted with job seekers and HR representatives and toured the recruitment stalls. He said employment fairs were being organised across the district’s assembly constituencies to connect local youth with employment opportunities.
Chief Development Officer Devyani encouraged students to focus on becoming self-reliant and develop industry-relevant skills to improve their employment prospects.
Assistant Director (Employment) B.V.S. Sengar said constituency-wise employment fairs were being organised in accordance with the government’s objectives and that similar recruitment drives would continue.
Participating companies included B.L. Agro, Justdial, Wadilal, Gangasheel Hospital, Yazaki, AKC Word, AKC Motors, Siddhi Infotech, Axis Bank, Flipkart, Balaji Action, JK Tyre, Motorola, TeamLease, Reliance Jio, Paytm, Voltas and Pukhraj Healthcare, among others.
Several officials, including Joint Director (Training/Apprenticeship) Ram Raj Yadav, Nodal Principal of Government Industrial Training Institute, C.B. Ganj, Shiv Kumar, In-charge District Employment Officer Madan Pal and Regional Employment Office officials, were present at the event.
The employment fair was organised with the broader objective of connecting job-seeking youth with private-sector employers and supporting skill development and employment opportunities in the district.
