Bareilly DM Reviews Revenue Recovery Progress, Directs Time-Bound Disposal of Pending Cases

Bareilly: District Magistrate Avinash Singh chaired a review meeting on the progress of revenue recovery at the Collectorate Auditorium, directing officials to expedite the disposal of pending recovery cases and ensure the timely achievement of revenue collection targets.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate instructed all Collection Amins to intensify efforts to resolve pending recovery matters and complete revenue collection within the prescribed timelines. He emphasised that there would be no tolerance for negligence in revenue recovery and directed officials to work in accordance with the Uttar Pradesh Government’s and Chief Minister’s zero-tolerance policy towards administrative laxity.

Singh also instructed the Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) to conduct monthly review meetings with Lekhpals and Collection Amins to closely monitor progress and address operational issues. Stressing the need for administrative transparency and efficiency, he further directed that officials, including Lekhpals and Collection Amins, who have been posted at the same location for more than 10 years should be identified and transferred at the earliest in accordance with government norms.

The District Magistrate said regular monitoring, accountability and timely action are essential to strengthening the revenue administration and improving overall recovery performance across the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Purnima Singh, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Santosh Kumar Singh, all Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, and Collection Amins.
