Bhopal: Apna Dal (S) has begun extensive preparations to commemorate the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj, widely regarded as a pioneer of social justice and a champion of the rights of backward classes. The party will organize grand celebrations across all districts of Madhya Pradesh on June 26 as part of a statewide outreach and awareness campaign.
The programmes are being conducted under the directions of the party’s National President and Union Minister of State, Anupriya Patel. The initiative is being guided by National General Secretary and Madhya Pradesh In-charge R. B. Singh Patel and political strategist Dr. Atul Malikram, while Acting State President Man Singh Bisen will oversee the celebrations.
According to party leaders, the anniversary events will go beyond ceremonial observances and will serve as a platform for social awareness, public engagement, and organizational expansion. Senior party leaders will be assigned district responsibilities to monitor preparations and ensure the successful execution of programmes at the grassroots level.
Speaking about the initiative, R. B. Singh Patel said that Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj’s historic contributions to social justice, education, and the upliftment of backward communities continue to inspire generations. He emphasized that the celebrations would aim to take the leader’s ideals and vision to every section of society.
Acting State President Man Singh Bisen described the anniversary as not only a day of remembrance but also a day to renew the commitment to social equality and inclusive development. He said the party would use the occasion to promote social harmony and raise awareness about the rights and empowerment of backward communities. He also called upon party workers to make the celebrations historic through maximum public participation.

Political strategist Dr. Atul Malikram highlighted Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj’s role as a transformative social reformer who worked tirelessly to bring marginalized and underprivileged communities into the mainstream. He noted that the programme would provide an important opportunity to connect young people and various sections of society with the visionary leader’s ideals.
Several senior and youth leaders, including National Secretary Surya Bhan Singh, National General Secretary of the Youth Forum Dr. Akhilesh Patel, former state office-bearer Devendra Pratap Singh, and State Secretary Rohit Chandel, are expected to participate in the celebrations.
As part of the programme, district-level events will include seminars on the life and contributions of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj, floral tributes, social harmony dialogues, and discussions on the rights and welfare of backward classes. The central objective is to spread awareness about his enduring vision of social justice, education, and equal opportunities.
The celebrations also come at a time when Apna Dal (S) is expanding its organizational footprint in Madhya Pradesh. Following the recent appointment of Man Singh Bisen as Acting State President, the party views the statewide observance as an important component of its broader organizational outreach strategy. Party leaders believe the initiative will further strengthen its grassroots presence and reinforce its commitment to social empowerment and inclusive political participation across the state.
