Mumbai: Anmol Cinema premiered Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor starrer Raid 2 on Friday, July 31 at 7:30 pm, taking viewers into a world of power, corruption, deception and high-stakes drama.
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film brought back Ajay Devgn as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, an honest and fearless officer who refuses to surrender before powerful and corrupt individuals. The film follows his latest confrontation with a formidable adversary, Dada Bhai, played by Riteish Deshmukh.
The clash between Amay Patnaik’s quiet determination and Dada Bhai’s calculated power formed the core of the narrative. Devgn returned to the role with his trademark intensity and controlled screen presence, while Deshmukh portrayed a powerful character who conceals his darker intentions behind the image of a saint.
The film also featured Saurabh Shukla, Rajat Kapoor and Amit Sial in important roles, adding depth to the investigative drama.
Raid 2 explored the continuing battle between truth and corruption as Amay Patnaik pursued his mission against an influential opponent. The story raised the question of whether the determined officer would succeed in bringing the truth to light or whether the powerful system would manage to stop him.
