Gonda: In a gesture of support for families devastated by a tragic drowning incident during an idol immersion ceremony, Tarbganj MLA Prem Narayan Pandey and Tehsildar Ashutosh Pandey visited Bhairampur village and handed over financial assistance cheques of ₹4 lakh each to the families of the three deceased youths.

The tragedy occurred a few days ago in Bhairampur village under the Tarbganj Assembly constituency, when five young men drowned in a river during idol immersion. Abhishek Tiwari, Ramvilas Prajapati and Sumit Prajapati lost their lives, while the other two youths were rescued safely.
The incident left three families mourning the loss of their loved ones. During their visit, the MLA and the tehsildar met the bereaved families, expressed their condolences and shared their grief. They also handed over the financial assistance provided by the state government to the families of all three victims.

Pandey said the loss was irreparable and that no amount of financial assistance could compensate for the lives lost. However, he emphasised that the state government stood firmly with the affected families during this difficult period.
The MLA assured the bereaved families that he would make sincere efforts to facilitate all possible assistance and support should they require it in the future.
The visit was aimed at providing reassurance to the grieving families and ensuring that they received the financial assistance announced following the tragic incident.
