Gonda: The Gonda district administration has intensified cleanliness and disease-prevention activities across gram panchayats under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) Phase II and the Communicable Disease Control Campaign.
Acting on the directions of District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, the Panchayati Raj Department is carrying out sanitation drives, anti-larval chemical spraying in waterlogged areas and fogging in designated locations across all development blocks.

The campaign aims to improve rural sanitation, control mosquito breeding and reduce the risk of communicable diseases. Special attention is being given to public places, frequently used routes and areas vulnerable to waterlogging.

The administration has urged residents to maintain cleanliness around their homes, prevent water stagnation and ensure that coolers, flowerpots, tanks and other containers do not become mosquito-breeding sites. Residents have also been asked to cooperate with the ongoing campaign to promote a cleaner and healthier rural environment.
