Bareilly: A blood donation camp was organised at the 300-Bed Hospital in Bareilly under the Swachhata Hi Seva and Seva Sankalp Abhiyan–2026, as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission. The camp was organised by the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) team of Bareilly Municipal Corporation and was held from 10 am to 4 pm.
Additional Municipal Commissioner Shashi Bhushan Rai, PCS, attended the programme as chief guest. He inaugurated the camp by cutting the ribbon and set an example by becoming the first person to donate blood. His initiative encouraged officers, employees and citizens present at the venue to come forward and participate voluntarily.

Deputy Nagar Swasthya Adhikari (Deputy NSA) Dr Satish Chaudhary played an important role in coordinating the camp. He worked with Dr Amit Dinkar to oversee arrangements and encourage participants to donate blood.
CSFI Mahendra Pratap Singh Rathore, SFI Deepak, Neeraj, Sanjeev, Rakesh, Sanjay and Purnima Kumar also donated blood and motivated others to participate. Supervisors Sanjay Rathore and Roshan Lal likewise donated blood and encouraged people to contribute to the initiative.
Brand ambassador Mohit Sharma, municipal officials and employees, members of the SBM team and other citizens participated enthusiastically in the programme. Participants described blood donation as an important form of social service and humanitarian responsibility.

All blood donors were presented with appreciation certificates. After donating blood, participants were provided pomegranate juice and biscuits as refreshments.
The camp conveyed the message that blood donation can play a crucial role in saving the lives of people in need. Organisers said the initiative strengthened the spirit of service, compassion and social responsibility alongside the campaign for cleanliness.
The Bareilly Municipal Corporation gave the message: “Blood donation is the greatest donation—the most humane commitment to service.” It also urged citizens to combine the commitment to cleanliness with service by donating blood and helping save lives.
