Lucknow: The Lalit Kala Akademi, Regional Centre, Lucknow, under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, organised a special poetry session titled “Aamantrit Kavya Swar” as part of Rajbhasha Hindi Week being observed from September 17 to 23, 2026.
The programme aimed to promote the use of Hindi as the official language while encouraging literary and cultural awareness and creating a platform for the interaction of art and literature. Regional Secretary Dr Devendra Kumar Tripathi inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp along with the invited poets.
Speakers at the programme highlighted Hindi’s role not only as a medium of communication but also as an important part of India’s cultural and literary heritage. The event brought together poets, writers, intellectuals, artists, students and literature enthusiasts.
Poets from different districts of Uttar Pradesh presented poems and ghazals during the main session. Shiv Kumar Vyas of Barabanki presented works reflecting contemporary issues and human emotions. Dr Kumar Pushpendra of Ramnagar focused on patriotism, nature and life values through his poetry.
Atal Narayan of Prayagraj captivated the audience with patriotic and emotive compositions, while Sandeep Anuragi of Barabanki presented poetry centred on love and beauty.
Dr Tripathi said the Akademi was continuing to organise creative programmes aimed at promoting art, culture and language. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to the participating poets, guests, media representatives and audience members. Artists, researchers, officers and employees of the centre also attended the programme.
