Lucknow: A special satsang on the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita was organised at Shiv Shanti Sant Asuda Ram Ashram in Lucknow, with Aparimeya Shyam Prabhu, President of ISKCON Lucknow temple, invited as the speaker.
Addressing devotees during the special session, Aparimeya Shyam Prabhu said everyone should read the Bhagavad Gita, describing it as a “manual guide for life”. He emphasised that the scripture should ideally be studied under the guidance of a spiritual teacher so that its teachings can be understood in their proper context and applied meaningfully.

He also highlighted the importance of the company of saints and spiritual practitioners, saying that while fulfilling their responsibilities, people should also devote time to serving saints and God.

The speaker advised devotees to maintain balance in life, avoiding both excessive attachment and extreme detachment. He said people should strive to remain even-minded in happiness and sorrow and cultivate love and devotion towards God, the guru, saints and scriptures.
According to the organisers, the satsang aimed to encourage spiritual learning and reflection on the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita as part of everyday life.
The programme was organised with the support of the ISKCON media group associated with Sri Sri Radha Raman Bihari Temple in Sushant Golf City, Lucknow.
