Bareilly: A poetry recitation competition was organised at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University as part of the Hindi Fortnight Celebration 2026, centred on the theme “Hindi Language: Our Heritage, Our Identity.” The event was held at the Panchal Auditorium on the university campus.
The competition was conducted under the coordination of Professor Vijay Bahadur Singh Yadav. Dr Avnish Yadav and Dr Indradev Trivedi served as judges, while Professor Vivek Gupta and Dr Pawan Kumar Singh coordinated the programme.
The competition was conducted in three categories—students, employees and teachers. Participants presented original poems inspired by the theme of national service and commitment. Their compositions touched upon social, economic and cultural issues, along with nature, beauty, women, social evils, inequality, patriotism, education, cultural values and ideals.
In the student category, Sunaina Saxena secured first place, Pragati Mishra stood second and Nancy Awasthi third. In the employee category, Dr Hemant Manishi Shukla won first place.
Among teachers, Dr Abha Trivedi secured first position, Professor Yashpal Singh second and Dr Pawan Kumar Singh third.
Several faculty members, employees and students, including Professor Ashutosh Priya, Professor Bhola Khan, Dr Ruchi Trivedi, Dr Kamini Vishwakarma, Dr Mridula, Dr Krishna Ketan and Dr Rahul Tripathi, contributed to the successful conduct of the event.
