Seva Sankalp Campaign Collects 72 Units of Blood in Gonda

Gonda: Blood donation camps were organised at three locations in Gonda district on Thursday under the Seva Sankalp Campaign, with people participating enthusiastically and donating a total of 72 units of blood.

The camps were held at Community Health Centre Tarabganj, Community Health Centre Nawabganj and the Medical College. Tarabganj recorded 40 units, Nawabganj 22 units and the Medical College 10 units of blood donation. The initiative aimed to promote social responsibility and support patients requiring blood during emergencies and medical treatment.

At the Medical College camp, BJP district president Akbal Bahadur Tiwari, along with party office-bearers and workers, encouraged the donors and appreciated their participation.

The Chief Medical Officer said blood may be required during accidents, childbirth, surgeries and serious illnesses, making voluntary donation vital for maintaining adequate supplies. Health department teams conducted necessary medical screening before collecting blood safely.

Donors were also informed about the importance of blood donation and encouraged other eligible people to participate in similar humanitarian initiatives.
