Gonda: Uttar Pradesh Minister and district in-charge minister Ashish Patel reviewed preparations for the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at a meeting held at the District Panchayat auditorium in Gonda. The campaign will run from September 17 to October 17, 2026, with a focus on promoting government welfare schemes, connecting eligible beneficiaries with benefits and ensuring that welfare measures reach the last mile.
As part of the campaign, residents will light the ‘Ashirwad Ka Diya’ at 7 pm on September 17 at their homes, establishments, government buildings and public places and collectively take a pledge towards building Viksit Bharat-2047.

Chairing the review meeting, Patel directed officials to complete all preparations in a timely and coordinated manner. He stressed the need for extensive public participation and effective dissemination of information about welfare schemes of both the Central and state governments.
He said September 17 would be observed as Seva Diwas, with people joining the campaign by lighting lamps at homes, establishments and public places. Special camps will also be organised in every development block for a week to address public grievances and facilitate eligible beneficiaries in accessing various government schemes.
The minister instructed nodal officers to complete preparations on schedule and coordinate with departmental officials and concerned institutions to ensure the successful organisation of the campaign. He also directed officials to make adequate arrangements for publicity and asked the District Magistrate to ensure the campaign’s effective implementation.

Several programmes will be organised under the campaign, including ‘Mere Sapnon Ka Bharat-Chitra Seva’, ‘Namo Seva-Ankahi Kahaniyan’, ‘Aangan Milan Seva’, ‘Seva Ki Kahani’, ‘Seva Jyoti Kalash Yatra-Viksit Bharat Ka Sankalp’, ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’, ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan’ and ‘Sushasan Seva Samvad’.
These initiatives will focus on increasing public participation, taking information about government achievements to people and strengthening the spirit of service and good governance.
The meeting was attended by the District Panchayat Chairperson, MLA from Gaura, MLC from Gonda-Balrampur, District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, Chief Development Officer, representatives of Gonda MP and Union Minister of State for External Affairs, along with other elected representatives and concerned officials.
