Mumbai: What began with an unusual mannequin at Popatlal’s house has now turned into a mysterious jewellery theft case in Gokuldham Society. In a special video, Asit Kumarr Modi, creator and producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, takes viewers through the bizarre turn of events while highlighting the spirit of unity that comes alive when Popatlal finds himself in trouble.
It all began when Popatlal brought home a mannequin dressed as a bride. With its twisted legs and spooky appearance, the mannequin soon became a subject of curiosity and suspicion among the Gokuldham residents. Things took a more serious turn when gold jewellery began disappearing from the homes of Gokuldham residents. As the investigation progressed, the clues eventually led Inspector Chalu Pandey to Popatlal’s house, where the stolen jewellery was recovered from near the mannequin.
With Popatlal arrested, he tries to explain that the mannequin is spooky and could be responsible for the thefts. He reveals that strange things have been happening around it — the mannequin’s face gets revealed without anyone touching it, he hears an eerie sound whenever he crosses it, and the moment he turns to look at the mannequin, the sound suddenly stops.
But is Popatlal really telling the truth? Can Inspector Chalu Pandey believe that a mannequin could be behind the thefts? And if the thief is not human, can Gokuldham actually catch a ghost?
As the mystery deepens, Gokuldham’s Purush Mandali refuses to leave Popatlal alone. Despite their differences and the fear surrounding the situation, the men come together and stand by their friend. They head to the police station to request Chalu Pandey to release Popatlal. When the inspector reminds them that they had filed an FIR, the men are even ready to take it back to help their friend.
Through this unusual situation, the track brings out one of Gokuldham’s most enduring messages — when one of their own is in trouble, they stand together. They may be scared, they may not have all the answers, and they may disagree with each other, but they face the situation as a group and have each other’s backs.
With Popatlal needing to be rescued and a mysterious thief still at large, Gokuldham is now on a ‘Chor Pakdo’ mission. But will they manage to catch the culprit if the thief is actually a ghost?
