65-Member CA Group Returns from Educational Visit to Odisha

Lucknow: A 65-member group of chartered accountants from the Lucknow Chartered Accountants Society returned to the city after an educational visit to Odisha, aimed at helping professionals understand recent changes in taxation, law and emerging technologies.

The visit was organised after the July 31 deadline for filing income tax returns, allowing the participating CAs to focus on developments under the Income Tax Act, 2025, along with other recent legal and regulatory changes.

Former chairman of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Pradeep Goyal, said the educational programme also provided an opportunity for experienced CAs to learn about new technologies. Newly qualified Lucknow-based CA Arthraj Goyal conducted a session on artificial intelligence, explaining its applications and relevance to the profession to the senior members of the group.

Pradeep Goyal said he had been participating in such educational tours with fellow chartered accountants for the past 25 years. He urged newly qualified CAs in Lucknow to actively participate in such programmes, saying they provide valuable opportunities for professional learning, interaction and keeping pace with changes in the field.

Former president of the LCAS Institute, Pawan Dhawan, said chartered accountants would need to thoroughly understand the Income Tax Act, 2025 and other recent legal changes while also adapting to the rapid developments brought about by artificial intelligence.

The educational visit concluded with CA Hemant Kumar expressing gratitude to the guests, speakers and all participants for their contribution to the programme.
