Gonda: Superintendent of Police Vinay Jaiswal inspected the security arrangements at the Reserve Police Lines in Gonda on Monday, where document verification and physical standard testing (DV/PST) are being conducted for candidates selected under the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Civil Police Direct Recruitment-2025.
During his visit, the SP reviewed security arrangements at the entry gate, biometric verification point and DV/PST venue. He also inspected the functioning and positioning of CCTV cameras installed at key locations and issued necessary directions to the officers responsible for security and recruitment-related arrangements.
Jaiswal instructed officials of the agency responsible for conducting the testing and security arrangements to ensure that document verification and physical standard testing are carried out strictly in accordance with the prescribed rules and conditions. He stressed the need for vigilance and accountability at every stage to prevent any irregularity during the recruitment process.
The SP also interacted with candidates at the venue and enquired about their well-being and the arrangements being made for them. Candidates were informed that they should immediately report any irregularity or difficulty and register their complaints before the concerned authorities for prompt action.

A total of 850 eligible candidates selected on the basis of the written examination for recruitment to the post of Constable Civil Police in the Uttar Pradesh Police are scheduled to undergo document verification and physical standard testing in Gonda from August 17 to August 31, 2026.
On the first day of the process, 70 women candidates were allotted for the DV/PST. Of these, 66 candidates appeared for the process while four remained absent. Among the candidates who appeared, two women candidates were declared unfit during the physical standard assessment.
The SP directed all personnel deployed at the venue to remain alert throughout the recruitment process and ensure that the proceedings are conducted transparently, securely and strictly according to the prescribed guidelines.
