Lucknow — Goel Institute of Technology and Management (GITM), Lucknow, achieved a significant milestone in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the IIM Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre (IIML EIC). The collaboration aims to strengthen blockchain technology, innovation, startup incubation, entrepreneurship, skill development, and industry-academia cooperation.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Rishi Asthana, Director of GITM, and Dr. Jyoti Agarwal, Head of the Department of Management (MBA). Nikhil Bhatt, Project Lead at the Centre of Excellence (Blockchain Technology) at IIM Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre, and Sakshi Sachan, Assistant Manager, were specially present on the occasion.
Following the signing of the MoU, a “Blockchain Technology and Entrepreneurship Awareness Session” was organized on August 7, 2026. The session aimed to familiarize students with blockchain technology, innovation, startup culture, and the opportunities available in the field of entrepreneurship. Experts highlighted various industrial and commercial applications of blockchain technology and encouraged students to develop innovation-based startups and play an active role in building a self-reliant India.
The event was attended by Dr. Devendra Agarwal (Dean), Brijesh Pandey (Associate Dean), Dr. Priyanka Jaiswal (Convenor, Institution’s Innovation Council – IIC), and Dr. Anita Pal (IIC Coordinator), along with faculty members of the institute and a large number of students.
This partnership is expected to further strengthen GITM’s commitment to promoting innovation, research, industry-academia collaboration, and entrepreneurship. The institute believes this collaboration will open new opportunities for students in blockchain technology, startup incubation, skill development, and entrepreneurship, better equipping them to meet future challenges.
