Held at Zaika Restaurant, Gemini Continental Hotel, the event brought together lovers of art, literature and music for an unforgettable experience where timeless classics were reimagined through contemporary poetry and soulful performances.
The evening opened on an evocative note when Mumbai-based playback singer and theatre artist Kirti Killedar rendered the couplet, “Hain juda rang khushbuen phir bhi, Ek hoti hai zaat phoolon ki,” penned by renowned lyricist Chandra Shekhar Varma as an extension of Makhdoom Mohiuddin’s celebrated ghazal “Raat Phoolon Ki Zameen Par.” The moving rendition instantly captivated the audience and set the tone for a programme steeped in emotion, nostalgia and artistic brilliance.
Kirti Killekar emerged as the highlight of the evening, winning hearts with her expressive voice, graceful stage presence and impeccable musicality.
