Lucknow: La Martiniere Girls’ College commenced the fourteenth edition of Entente on 22nd July 2026. The event drew participation from over 35 schools, including City Montessori School, City International School, The Bishop’s School, Camp, Pune, among others, with over 1,300 participants competing across more than 40 competitions.
The opening ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Vinita Das, an esteemed Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 45 years of experience, currently associated with Apollo Hospitals.A recipient of numerous accolades, including the Diabetes in Pregnancy Study Group India (DIPSI) National Award and the Kirti Shri Samman, she inspired the participants with the words, “Failure is not the opposite of success; it is a part of it.”
The ceremony commenced with the Ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp by Chief Guest Dr. Vinita Das, Lady Principal Mrs. A. Dass, Heads of Departments, Mr. Dayal, Mrs. Masih, and Mrs. R. Kapoor, marking the formal inauguration of Entente 2026. This was followed by a soulful performance by the college band, setting an energetic tone for the day. The Creative Heads also unveiled the official dossier for Entente 2026.
From its inception with four founding clubs—Ataraxis, Bejewel, Scientofab, and Cybus, Entente has grown into a vibrant platform comprising 11 clubs and the Prefect Body, each contributing to the festival’s spirit of imagination, innovation, and collaboration.
The day began with Footloose, organised by Ataraxis, which took the audience on a nostalgic journey back to 2016 through captivating dance performances. RJ Hunt, organised by Connexus, featured a live BBC-style radio broadcast where creativity, voice, and satire came together on stage. The day’s events also included competitions such as Clout Clash, organised by Capturesque, and Mechageddon and Nascar A & B, organised by Cyborg, alongside several other engaging events across the various clubs.
The inaugural day concluded on an enthusiastic note, leaving participants enriched with new experiences and eagerly anticipating the exciting days ahead.
