Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has announced that counselling for admission to the M.Sc. Bioinformatics and Computational Biology programme for the 2026–27 academic session will be held on July 24, 2026, at 10:00 am in the Department of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology on the university campus.
According to Prof. Upendra Kumar, Head of the Department, all candidates who have completed online registration through the Samarth portal must report to the department at the scheduled time to participate in the counselling process. Admissions will be granted strictly on the basis of open rank and merit, with reservation benefits provided in accordance with the prevailing Uttar Pradesh government norms.
Candidates must bring a signed copy of their online application form, original mark sheets and certificates along with self-attested photocopies, a valid photo identity card, three recent passport-size colour photographs, and relevant reservation documents. Candidates belonging to reserved categories must also produce valid caste certificates, with OBC applicants required to submit a non-creamy layer certificate, while EWS candidates must furnish a valid 2026–27 EWS certificate.
Prof. Kumar said nearly twice the number of available seats have been called for counselling, making it clear that being invited for counselling does not guarantee admission. Admissions will be offered strictly according to merit and seat availability, and the process will conclude once all seats are filled.
Candidates whose admissions are confirmed will be required to deposit an admission fee of ₹45,000 on the same day through a demand draft drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly. Failure to pay the prescribed fee on the counselling day will result in automatic cancellation of admission.
The university has advised all eligible candidates to reach the venue on time with the required documents and demand draft to complete the admission formalities smoothly.
