Government ITI C.B. Ganj Plants 210 Saplings Under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign

Bareilly: Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), C.B. Ganj, Bareilly, organised a large-scale tree plantation drive under the Vriksharopan Mahayagya-2026 and Van Mahotsav 2026, reinforcing the message of environmental conservation through the nationwide “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign.

The programme was inaugurated by Satyendra Yadav, Block Pramukh of Fatehganj Paschimi, who planted a sapling to mark the beginning of the initiative. Trainees and staff members actively participated in the drive, planting a wide variety of saplings and pledging to nurture and protect them.

A total of 210 saplings of different species were planted during the programme, including mango, guava, jamun, lemon, shami, karonda, teak, bael, tamarind, jackfruit and several flowering plants. The plantation drive aimed to promote environmental sustainability, increase green cover and encourage community participation in ecological conservation.

Nodal Principal Shiv Kumar Sharma also participated in the plantation campaign, emphasising the importance of preserving the environment for future generations.

Tree Plantation Coordinators Manohar Yadav and Ram Singh expressed gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic cooperation in making the programme a success. They highlighted the importance of collective efforts in combating climate change and promoting a cleaner, greener environment.

The event witnessed active participation from faculty members, staff and trainees, including Indubhushan, Deepak, Anil, Rakesh, Arjun, Prem, Satyendra, Amardeep, Shivam, Balwant, Apoorva, Nidhi and Shraddha, among others.

The plantation drive formed part of the state government’s broader afforestation campaign, encouraging educational institutions and communities to contribute towards environmental protection by planting and preserving trees.
