Chief Minister Launches Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme; Live Telecast Held in Bareilly

Bareilly: The launch of the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was witnessed live in Bareilly through a special telecast organised at the Vikas Bhavan auditorium, where public representatives, government officials, teachers, and beneficiaries gathered to participate in the landmark event.

The scheme was officially launched by the Chief Minister from the Pandit Deendayal Hastkala Sankul in Varanasi, with the objective of extending cashless healthcare facilities to teachers and teaching as well as non-teaching staff across the state.

The live telecast in Bareilly was attended by Forest and Environment Minister Dr. Arun Kumar, Bareilly MP Chhatrapal Gangwar, Zila Panchayat Chairperson Rashmi Patel, Mayor Umesh Gautam, Member of the Legislative Council Bahoran Lal Maurya, Cantonment MLA Sanjeev Agrawal, Bithri Chainpur MLA Raghavendra Sharma, BJP Aonla District President Aadesh Pratap Singh, Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission member Pushpa Pandey, District Magistrate Avinash Singh, Chief Development Officer Devyani, Joint Director of Education for Bareilly Division Ramajnya Kumar, District Inspector of Schools Ajit Kumar, District Basic Education Officer Dr. Vineeta, Block Education Officers, and beneficiaries.

Following the live address by the Chief Minister, beneficiary teachers and their families received assistance under the Chief Minister Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme. During the programme, students were also provided financial assistance of ₹1,200 per student through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) for the purchase of uniforms, shoes, socks, sweaters, school bags, and stationery. Newly enrolled students were additionally distributed textbooks and stationery kits.

After the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Bank of India (SBI), bank officials briefed participants on various financial and welfare schemes available to beneficiaries.

Addressing the gathering, Forest and Environment Minister Dr. Arun Kumar expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for introducing the Teacher Cashless Medical Scheme. He described the initiative as a reflection of the Chief Minister’s visionary approach towards strengthening the welfare and social security of teachers and non-teaching educational staff across Uttar Pradesh.

The programme highlighted the state government’s continued focus on improving educational infrastructure, supporting teachers’ welfare, and ensuring that students receive timely financial assistance for their educational needs.
