Bareilly: In a major initiative aimed at promoting education and ensuring that every child is enrolled in school, the School Chalo Abhiyan (Let’s Go to School Campaign) was formally launched at Composite School, Jasauli Nagar in Bareilly. The programme was inaugurated in the presence of District Panchayat Chairperson Rashmi Patel, Nawabganj MLA Dr. M.P. Arya, and District Magistrate Avinash Singh.
Addressing students during the event, the dignitaries encouraged them to attend school regularly, study with dedication, and work consistently towards building a bright future. They emphasized that education is the foundation of a child’s holistic development and plays a crucial role in creating a self-reliant, empowered, and progressive society.
The leaders also appealed to parents and local residents to actively contribute to achieving 100 percent enrollment of all eligible children, both boys and girls, in schools. They stressed that ensuring access to quality and inclusive education for every child is a shared social responsibility.
During the programme, parents were urged to utilize government assistance provided for school uniforms, shoes, and socks exclusively for the welfare and educational needs of their children. Officials highlighted the importance of ensuring that children receive the full benefits of educational support schemes.
District Magistrate Avinash Singh directed concerned officials to ensure the effective implementation of the School Chalo Abhiyan across the district. He instructed education authorities to undertake door-to-door outreach campaigns, extensive public awareness drives, and continuous monitoring to identify out-of-school children and facilitate their immediate enrollment.

“Education is every child’s fundamental right and one of the strongest pillars for building a developed India,” the District Magistrate said, calling for coordinated efforts by government departments, public representatives, teachers, and parents to make the campaign a success.
He further directed all Block Education Officers (BEOs) to organize School Chalo Abhiyan rallies in their respective areas to spread awareness about the importance of education and encourage school enrollment.
Speaking on the occasion, District Basic Education Officer Dr. Vinita informed that the district is currently implementing the ‘Roko Toko, School Bhejo Abhiyan’ (Stop and Send to School Campaign). Under this initiative, if any child of school-going age is found not attending school, officials and educators interact with the child’s parents or guardians and motivate them to send the child to school.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the school principal, teachers, parents, and students, reflecting a collective commitment towards strengthening educational access and ensuring that no child in Bareilly is left behind in the pursuit of learning.
