New Online Portal for Journalists to be Launched Soon, Says Information Director Vishal Singh

Bareilly: Uttar Pradesh Information Director Vishal Singh has announced that the state government is taking significant steps to enhance welfare services and facilitate easier access to benefits for accredited journalists across the state.

Speaking about the initiative, the Information Director said that efforts are being made to streamline the process of obtaining Ayushman Cards for eligible journalists. He informed that accredited journalists who have already applied for an Ayushman Card but have not received it due to technical or administrative reasons can check the status of their application through the National Health Authority beneficiary portal.

He explained that if an applicant’s name appears on the portal but requires corrections or modifications, the concerned journalist can contact the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in their respective district to get the necessary amendments made and facilitate the issuance of the card.

Vishal Singh further stated that a dedicated online portal for journalists will soon be launched to address issues related to Ayushman Card applications and other related services. The proposed portal is expected to simplify the application process and provide a more efficient mechanism for journalists seeking benefits under government welfare schemes.

According to the Information Director, journalists who have not yet applied for an Ayushman Card, as well as those whose applications remain pending or unresolved, will be able to submit their applications through the new portal once it becomes operational.

The applications will be processed through the respective District Information Offices, enabling journalists to complete the process in a more organized and transparent manner. He assured that detailed information regarding the launch and operational guidelines of the portal will be communicated immediately after it becomes functional.

The initiative is being viewed as a significant step toward improving access to healthcare benefits and strengthening welfare support for accredited journalists in Uttar Pradesh. Officials believe that the digital platform will help reduce procedural delays, improve coordination between departments, and ensure that eligible journalists receive benefits in a timely and hassle-free manner.

The announcement has been welcomed as a positive move aimed at enhancing convenience and extending greater support to members of the media fraternity across the state.
