Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University has introduced an AI-based Visitor Monitoring and Management System as part of its efforts to strengthen campus security through advanced technology and digital infrastructure.
The new system has been installed at the university’s main entrance, Gate No. 01, and will initially operate on a one-month trial basis. Through the smart gate pass management system, the university aims to streamline the monitoring and management of visitors entering the campus while improving transparency, efficiency and overall security arrangements.
According to the university administration, the technology-driven initiative is designed to make the campus more secure and organized by enabling better visitor tracking and digital record management. The AI-enabled system is also expected to support quicker verification processes and enhance coordination between visitors and security personnel.
The administration has appealed to students, faculty members, staff and visitors to cooperate with the security personnel deployed at Gate No. 01 to ensure the smooth implementation of the system during the trial period.

University officials described the initiative as a significant step toward developing a smart and digitally empowered campus. They said the introduction of AI-powered monitoring reflects the institution’s commitment to adopting modern technologies for improving campus administration, safety and operational efficiency.
