Mumbai: The acclaimed Gujarati blockbuster Lalo – Krishna Sada Sahayate is set for its world television premiere on May 17 at 1 PM on Sony MAX. After creating a strong impact at the box office, the film is once again drawing attention for the emotional stories and real-life experiences that shaped its powerful narrative.
Directed by Ankit Sakhiya, the film was shot across various regions of Saurashtra using only natural sunlight, a creative choice that added authenticity and visual depth to the storytelling. Beyond its rustic landscapes, the film resonated with audiences because of the deeply personal emotions brought to screen by its cast.
Actor Karan Joshi, who played the lead character Lalo, described the role as a life-changing experience. From performing in unpaid theatre productions to becoming the face of a pan-India blockbuster, he said the journey of the character closely reflected his own personal transformation and belief in purpose and self-confidence.
Shruhad Goswami, who portrayed Lord Krishna, said he wanted the character to feel relatable and emotionally connected to viewers rather than distant and divine. Meanwhile, Reva Rachh earned praise for her portrayal of Tulsi, bringing emotional depth and quiet resilience to the role. She said Tulsi’s silence represented strength and endurance rather than helplessness.

The film’s combination of authentic locations, emotional storytelling and grounded performances helped establish a unique identity in Gujarati cinema. With its television premiere, “Lalo – Krishna Sada Sahayate” is expected to reach a wider national audience and continue inspiring viewers through its heartfelt narrative.
