Visakhapatnam: AdaniConneX, the data center joint venture between the Adani Group and EdgeConneX, is spearheading the development of a massive 1 GW AI-ready data center platform in Visakhapatnam.
Backed by an estimated investment of around USD 10 billion from the Adani Group, the project underscores the conglomerate’s long-term strategy to build large-scale digital infrastructure to support India’s next phase of technological growth.
As the lead infrastructure partner, AdaniConneX will develop scalable, high-density data center facilities designed to handle advanced AI and cloud workloads. The platform will be supported by a robust and integrated energy ecosystem, leveraging the Adani Group’s strengths in power generation and infrastructure to ensure reliable and sustainable energy supply.

The project will be rolled out in phases, aligned with rising hyperscale demand, and is expected to create a future-ready, energy-secure digital ecosystem. It aims to accelerate enterprise innovation, enable the expansion of digital services, and strengthen India’s ambitions in artificial intelligence.
Beyond its technological impact, the development is poised to drive economic growth in Andhra Pradesh by attracting investments, generating employment, and positioning the state as a key hub in the global digital infrastructure landscape.
The initiative forms part of the Adani Group’s broader commitment to invest USD 100 billion over the next decade toward building India’s AI, energy, and digital infrastructure backbone, reinforcing its role in the country’s digital and energy transition.
