Free Anti-Rabies Vaccination Drive for Dogs on World Veterinary Day in Bareilly

Bareilly: Marking the occasion of World Veterinary Day, the Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) will organize a series of animal welfare activities on April 25, including a free anti-rabies vaccination drive for dogs.

According to officials, the vaccination camp will be held at the institute’s Referral Veterinary Polyclinic from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. A total of 100 dogs will be vaccinated on a “first come, first served” basis, offering pet owners an important opportunity to safeguard their animals against rabies.

Dr. Abhijit Pawde, In-charge of the Referral Polyclinic, informed that several competitions and awareness programmes related to animal health and welfare will also be organized as part of the celebrations. These initiatives aim to promote responsible pet ownership and highlight the critical role of veterinary services in public health.

The event underscores IVRI’s continued commitment to animal care and community outreach in the region.
