Creative Programme Marks Somnath Swabhiman Parv at Rohilkhand University

Bareilly: A creative and inspiring programme was organized at the Department of Education, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, on the occasion of Somnath Swabhiman Parv. The event was held under the guidance of Nodal Officers Dr. Prem Pal Singh and Dr. Kirti Prajapati, inspired by the Vice-Chancellor.

Students showcased their creativity through activities such as painting, poster-making, and rangoli, reflecting themes of cultural pride and heritage. In the rangoli competition, Anshika Verma, Uma Yadav, and Sudhanshu Gangwar created an eye-catching design based on the Somnath Temple. Their artwork, titled “Our Heritage, Our Responsibility,” drew widespread appreciation.

In the poster-making segment, Vandana, Princey, and Vaishnavi Patel presented an impressive depiction of the Somnath Temple, creatively integrating the image of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which was particularly praised by attendees.

The programme was attended by Head of Department Prof. Sudhir Kumar, along with faculty members including Dr. Rambabu Singh, Dr. Meenakshi Dwivedi, Vimal Kumar, and Rashmi Ranjan. Research scholars Kapil Tiwari, Jagdish Kumar, and Shivi Agrawal, along with B.Ed and M.Ed students, were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Prem Pal Singh appreciated the students’ efforts and encouraged them to continue engaging in such activities. He emphasized that programmes like these play a vital role in preserving and promoting India’s rich cultural heritage.

The event concluded on a note of enthusiasm and pride, reinforcing the importance of cultural awareness among students.
