Lucknow: A vibrant “Holi Milan” celebration was organized at Samarpan Vriddhajan Parisar in Lucknow, where students of Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya delivered captivating cultural performances, bringing joy and colours of joy to elderly residents.
The program witnessed the gracious presence of Founder and Trustee Major V.K. Khare, Manager U.C. Bajpai, and Co-Manager P.K. Srivastava. The event was skillfully conducted under the leadership of Dr. Seema Verma. The event began with a soulful Saraswati Vandana, setting a devotional and festive tone, aimed at honoring and entertaining senior citizens.
Under the guidance of Dr. Ruchi Khare, students from the Vocal Department (MPA Second Semester) presented a series of melodious Holi-themed performances. Harshit Saxena commenced with Saraswati Vandana, followed by enchanting renditions by Kalyani Srivastava, Jahnavi Verma, Sukriti Srivastava, and Yashi Pandey. Their performances of traditional compositions like “Aaj Biraj Mein Holi Re Rasiya” and “Ram Ko Dekhkar Janak Nandini” filled the atmosphere with festive spirit. Kalyani Srivastava’s emotive Holi thumris further left the audience spellbound.
Adding color to the event, students also showcased lively folk dances under the direction of Mohit Kapoor. Performances included Maharashtra’s Koli dance by Jitendra, Shailendra, Priya, and Pragati, Punjab’s energetic Giddha by Pinki, Shilpa, Udisha, Divya, and Anjali, along with a graceful Radha-Krishna themed dance. These performances deeply touched the elderly audience, many of whom were seen reminiscing about their families and expressing heartfelt appreciation.

As a gesture of encouragement, Samarpan Vriddhajan Parisar extended a financial token of appreciation to the participating students, wishing them a bright future.
The event proved to be more than just a cultural gathering—it became a moment of emotional connection, celebration, and renewed joy for the elderly residents, reinforcing the importance of community engagement and cultural bonding.
