Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party organized a Roza Iftar at the residence of senior party leader and former Cabinet Minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui in Cantt. The event was attended by SP National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, along with former Cabinet Minister Rajendra Chaudhary and UP State President Shyam Lal Pal. Numerous party leaders and prominent citizens of the city were also present.
Addressing the gathering, Akhilesh Yadav said, “Our culture is inclusive and reflects the Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb, where we celebrate each other’s festivals with joy and mutual respect. During Holi, we play with colors together; on Eid, we embrace one another and share sweets. Strengthening this spirit of brotherhood and respect is essential. The more harmony we have in society, the further our nation progresses.”
The prayers were led by Imam Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahli at the Eidgah. Attendees broke their fast together, praying for peace, harmony, and prosperity across the country and the state.

The Iftar gathering was attended by prominent leaders and legislators, including Farid Kidwai, Nasir Qureshi, Nawab Jan, Irfan Solanki, Ravidas Mehrotra, Jasmeer Ansari, Rumi Hasan, Naseem Solanki, Shahzil Islam, Ataur Rahman, as well as senior leaders Salamatullah, former MLC Sunil Sajan, spokesperson Anurag Bhadauria, Nawazish Manzoor, C.L. Verma, and District President Jaisingh Jayant.
