Bareilly: On the occasion of National Science Day, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University organized a distinguished programme under the joint aegis of its Directorate of Research, Rohilkhand Incubation Foundation, and Vijnana Bharati. The event was held in the gracious presence of Vice-Chancellor Professor K.P. Singh and centered on the theme, “From Ancient Knowledge to Modern Science: Foundation of a Developed India.”
The chief guest, Dr. Praveen Singh, Principal Scientist, highlighted the remarkable contributions of Indian scientists and elaborated on the pioneering research and discoveries of Nobel Laureate C. V. Raman. He encouraged students and scholars to actively pursue careers in science, research, and innovation to contribute to national development.
Special guest Ashutosh Ji, Regional Organization Secretary of Vijnana Bharati, spoke about the organization’s initiatives in promoting scientific awareness, nurturing India’s traditional knowledge systems, and fostering scientific temper among youth. He emphasized that science and technology are crucial pillars in making India self-reliant and globally competitive.
The programme was also graced by the presence of senior Ayurvedacharya Dr. Yogesh Ji. Research scholars, students, and faculty members participated enthusiastically in the event.
During the programme, the Directorate of Research and Rohilkhand Incubation Foundation shared details about ongoing initiatives aimed at promoting research, innovation, and startup culture within the university.

At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Vikas expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, academicians, and participants.
On this occasion, in the presence of Ashutosh Ji and Rajpal Ji (Co-Provincial Executive Member), the departmental executive body was announced. Dr. Praveen Singh was appointed as Divisional Coordinator; Dr. Ravi Sharan Singh as State Coordinator for Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM); Dr. Saurabh Agrawal as Metropolitan President; Dr. Naveen Kumar as Metropolitan Secretary; Dr. Jaspal Singh as NID Mission Metropolitan Coordinator; Alok Ji as Vibha-Vani Metropolitan Coordinator; and Robin Kumar as Tech for Seva Metropolitan Coordinator.
The successful organization of the programme was made possible through the dedicated efforts of convenors Professor Yatendra Kumar and Professor Alok Srivastava.
