Dehradun: It is a matter of immense pride for Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), Lucknow, that its Director, Prof. (Dr.) C. M. Singh, has been honoured with the prestigious Prof. Kamlakar Tripathi Excellence Award in Public Health and Community Medicine at the 2nd National Congress on Nutrition and Public Health (NCICON-2026) held at Government Doon Medical College, Dehradun.
The award was formally conferred during the national congress in recognition of his outstanding contributions, visionary leadership, and sustained work in the field of public health and community medicine. The conference witnessed participation of eminent academicians, clinicians, nutrition scientists, epidemiologists, and public health policy makers from across the country.
Under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) C. M. Singh, RMLIMS has significantly strengthened its focus on preventive healthcare, community-based medical services, and population-oriented disease prevention programs. Several initiatives aimed at awareness, early detection, and control of lifestyle and non-communicable diseases have been promoted at both institutional and community levels, contributing to improved public health outcomes.
