‘Government Has Forgotten Public Interest’: Shivpal Yadav Targets BJP in Fresh Attack

Lucknow: Political rhetoric in Uttar Pradesh has intensified once again after senior Samajwadi Party leader Shivpal Singh Yadav launched a sharp attack on the state government and the Deputy Chief Minister.

Yadav alleged that the government has drifted away from core public issues and is disconnected from ground realities. Questioning the functioning of Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, he said mere statements are not enough and that the government must be held accountable to the people. He further claimed that the administration has not shown seriousness on several pressing matters affecting the state.

Referring to a recent controversy involving a Shankaracharya, Yadav alleged that the religious leader had been insulted and said the government cannot evade responsibility. “The Deputy CM is part of the government, so accountability rests with them,” he remarked.

He also commented on web series and films, asserting that strict legal action should be taken against anyone violating established norms. However, on questions related to the RSS and BJP’s internal matters, Yadav declined to comment. His remarks have reignited political debate in the state, with further exchanges expected in the coming days.
