Lucknow: The Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow, was felicitated for its outstanding contribution to delivering patient-centric care under the Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak presented a certificate of excellence to Dr. R. Harshvardhan, Nodal Officer, AB-PMJAY, and Professor & Head of Hospital Administration, during the Ayushman Samvad held at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scientific Convention Centre on Monday. The honour recognizes seven years of the scheme’s transformative impact in Uttar Pradesh.
The award highlights SGPGIMS’s role as a leader in providing equitable, efficient, and high-quality healthcare to beneficiaries under AB-PMJAY. The institute credited its success to the leadership of Director Prof. R.K. Dhiman and the collective efforts of its medical, nursing, social service, and hospital accounts teams.

The recognition team included Dr. Gaurav Kumar Jha, Dr. Abhishek Singh, Dr. Harshit Verma, Dr. Ayush Sharma, Dr. Sumangal Bose, Dr. Mahvish Bano, Dr. Mohammad Azam, along with nursing officers Suvransu Shekhar Patra, Abhishek Nahar, and Shri Prakash, among others. The hospital’s accounts department and beneficiary facilitation agency also played a crucial role.
Officials noted that this honour reaffirms SGPGIMS’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and ensuring that quality treatment reaches every beneficiary of the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
