Lucknow- To promote Hindi literature in the field of medical education and research, a special Hindi Divas celebration was organized on Wednesday at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), Lucknow.
The event was hosted by the Department of Physiology under the patronage of Institute Director Prof. C.M. Singh, with Prof. Vikram Singh, Chief Medical Superintendent, as co-patron. The occasion was graced by Prof. Pradyumn Singh, Dean; Prof. Arvind Kumar Singh, Medical Superintendent; and Dr. Subrat Chandra, Executive Dean.
Prof. Rajni Bala Jasrotia, Head of the Physiology Department, served as the organizing chairperson. The program was conducted under the guidance of the advisory panel, which included senior faculty members like Prof. Sunita Tiwari, Dr. Vibha Gangwar, and Dr. Manish Verma from the Department of Physiology.
The inaugural address was delivered by Organizing Secretary Dr. Vidushi Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Physiology, while the program was efficiently anchored by Co-Organizing Secretary Dr. Shivam Verma, Assistant Professor, Department of Physiology.
A total of 32 participants took part in the celebration, including senior faculty members such as Dr. Nidhi Anand from the Pathology Department and Dr. Vinita Shukla from the Community Medicine Department. Participants presented poetry recitations and creative works showcasing different genres of Hindi literature, highlighting the importance of promoting Hindi in the medical and research fraternity.
As a mark of respect and encouragement, eminent guests were felicitated with mementoes and books authored by renowned Hindi literary figures, presented by senior doctors of the institute.
The celebration reinforced the commitment of RMLIMS to foster inclusivity in education by encouraging the use of Hindi language in academic and research discourse.
