Lucknow Swimmers Dominate State Underwater Sports and Fin Swimming Championship

LUCKNOW: Swimmers from Lucknow delivered a stellar performance on the second day of the 5th Uttar Pradesh State Underwater Sports and Fin Swimming Championship at the KD Singh ‘Babu’ Stadium pool, securing a total of five gold, six silver, and five bronze medals. Their strong showing underscored their dominance in the competition.

Deoria also put up a strong fight, with their athletes winning seven gold, four silver, and three bronze medals.

For Lucknow, Ansh Khurana won gold in the boys’ junior C category 100m surface mono-fin and a silver in the 100m bi-fin. Sarvang Chauhan took home a silver medal in the junior E category 100m bi-fin.

In the girls’ events, Saanchi Tiwari won gold in the junior D 100m bi-fin, while Alia secured a bronze. In the junior C 100m bi-fin, Manasvi won gold, Wamiya Khan won silver, and Aruna Dubey took bronze. In the 100m surface mono-fin of the same category, Arna Dubey won silver, and Vania Khan earned a bronze.

In the boys’ junior B 200m bi-fin, Aditya Shukla won gold and Aryan Mishra secured silver.

The winners were awarded their medals by former Member of Parliament, Dr. Ashok Bajpai. The event was also attended by the association’s general secretary Narendra Singh Chauhan, Satish Yadav, international diver Umesh Prasad, and other dignitaries.

Shivendra of CMS Wins Gold in District Swimming Championship

In a separate event, the District Swimming Championship organized by the Swimming Welfare Society, Shivendra from CMS Kanpur Road won a gold medal in the boys’ Group-2 50m butterfly race. Navayansh Srivastava of CMS Rajajipuram won silver, and Kunwar Pratap Singh of LPS Gomti Nagar won bronze.

In the boys’ Group-1 50m butterfly event, Shiv Jaiswal of CMS Rajendra Nagar won gold, Krishna Dubey of CMS Aliganj first took silver, and Manav Kumar of Study Hall secured bronze.
