Prayagraj: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government has undertaken significant efforts to enhance the cultural experience for pilgrims and visitors attending the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. A major part of these efforts includes the installation of 26 majestic and culturally significant sculptures at key city junctions. These sculptures, depicting mythical and revered figures such as Arjuna, Garuda, Nandi, Airavat, and Mother Ganga, will serve as both an artistic and spiritual welcome to local and international visitors.
The statues are strategically placed at prominent crossings in Prayagraj, and the project is expected to be a major attraction during the Mahakumbh. Six of these junctions have already been completed, with the remaining twenty scheduled for completion in the coming week. The sculptures are designed to not only beautify the city but also to reflect India’s rich cultural heritage, making the journey of devotees arriving in the city more immersive and visually enriching.
Notable placements include Nandi’s statue at the airport junction and Arjuna’s statue at the DPS crossing. These installations align with CM Yogi’s vision of enhancing the Mahakumbh experience, offering a blend of culture, mythology, and tourism.
