Lucknow — In a decisive move to reclaim public land, the Municipal Corporation, under the direction of Municipal Commissioner Inderjit Singh and Additional Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Srivastava, has removed an illegal occupation on 0.174 hectares of land (Khasra number 219M) in Bijnor, Tehsil-Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow. The land, owned by the Municipal Corporation, had been encroached upon by land mafias who constructed an RCC road on the property.
The operation, executed peacefully in the presence of Deputy Tehsildar Rituraj Shukla and Deputy Tehsildar of the Municipal Corporation Sanjay Kumar Singh, was carried out by Tehsil Lekhpal Aadesh and Municipal Corporation Lekhpal Sandeep Yadav, Tanuj Madan, Lalu Prasad, Rakesh Kumar, and Manoj Arya, with support from the Municipal Corporation’s ETF team and the Bijnor police force.
The Municipal Corporation had previously ordered Accountant Sandeep Yadav to act against the encroachment. However, due to a lack of action on his part, the Corporation has now recommended departmental action against him. A formal complaint has also been lodged at Bijnor Police Station to initiate legal proceedings against the illegal occupants, and a letter has been dispatched to the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) for further action on illegal plotting in the area.
The swift response by the Municipal Corporation underscores the administration’s commitment to tackling land encroachment and ensuring public property remains safeguarded.
