Lucknow: The Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow achieved a remarkable victory at the 1st Atal Bihari Vajpayee National Moot Court Competition 2024.
The team from the University of Lucknow delivered an outstanding performance, emerging as the winners of the prestigious competition organized by Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. A total of 34 teams participated, with the Lucknow University team comprising Akarshi Gupta, Komal Tiwari, and Soumya Verma securing the win.
The team advanced to the finals after defeating NLU Delhi in the semi-final and then clinched the title by defeating RMLNLU in the final.
Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav (Judge, Allahabad High Court) presented the winning trophy and a cash prize of ₹51,000 to the team. Additionally, Shailja Singh Solanki of Lucknow University won the Best Speaker award, receiving a cash prize of ₹5,100.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Banshidhar Singh, Campus Director Prof. Dr. R.K. Singh, and Moot Court Association Coordinator Dr. Radheshyam Prasad congratulated the students on their victory and extended their best wishes for a bright future.
