VISIT OF MRS RUCHIRA SENGUPTA, REGIONAL PRESIDENT AWWA, TO COMMAND HOSPITAL CENTRAL COMMAND
Mrs Ruchira Sengupta, Regional President AWWA, Central Command visited Command Hospital, Central Command and inaugurated State of the art ‘ Human Milk Bank ‘ – MATRI SUDHA . This unique and novel facility will immensely benefit the high risk neonates of the region admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Human milk bank will cater to the babies where mother’s milk is not available immediately for various reasons. Scientific research has proven that babies who are given exclusive breast milk feed have better immunity and good neurological outcomes when compared to alternative feed.
She also visited the Oncology ward, Prerna cell, Early Intervention Centre (EIC) and Surya Sainik Niwas and interacted with the patients and their families.
The Regional President AWWA interacted with the patients and applauded the commendable efforts of the team ‘Surya Healers’ in providing quality care to the patients .
