Comeback of a Super Giant

L:ucknow: The hangover of Green Park is not yet over, where India beat the Bangladesh team by 7 wickets in an exciting and thrilling second test in as good as 7 sessions. Team India recorded fastest 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 in the history of International test cricket with an average scoring rate of 8.18.

After it a three T20 series between India and Bangladesh is going to commence from  6th of this month at Gwalior.

It is interesting to see come back of 6 feet 1 inch tall pace bowler in Team India who bowls at record breaking and now known to be fastest bowler India ever produced. He is none other than just 22 yesrs old,  Mayank Yadav, who plays Indian Premier League for Lucknow Super Giants

In a career span of just two years, he impressed Indian selectors to be considered for his selection in the squad of the Men in Blue team of India, against Bangladesh for a T 20 clash. He got an injury while playing IPL 2023 in his first match which kept him away for entire year and did his come back from 2024 IPL.

Once he was fit , he was fast tracked into the North Zone team for 50 over Deodhar Trophy where he knocked out middle stump of Rahul Tripathi with a rapid delivery.

In 2024 against Punjab Kings in Lucknow he flattered the batsman with his pace with his analysis of 3 for 27. In the process he also registered top speed of 155.8 Kph. immediately in next game, Mayank got better in the IPL game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru notching up his speed to 156.7kph the fastest recorded in the history of IPL breaking his own record.

Mayank Yadav is also first player in the history of IPL to be awarded two Man of the match awards in his first two matches.

Besides him Rinku Singh born in Aligarh of UP and plays Domestic Cricket for UP already got fame as pinch hitter. He is well known and remembered to hit 5 sixes in last over bowled by another UP led Yash Dayal against Gujarat Titans to give a  historic victory to KKR. Rinku is also part of 15 member team.

Another player to name who is from UP is wicket keeper batsman Jitesh Sharma who is stiff competition to another well settled wicket keeper batsman Sanju Samson.

In recent past Pravin Kumar, Bhuvneshvar Kumar, Suresh Raina and Mohd Kaif these players are representing UP in India team in various formats giving a proud name to our own UP.
