Keshav Prasad Maurya sends out a cleanliness message

Prayagraj: Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh,  Keshav Prasad Maurya, gave the message of cleanliness by washing the floor of Hanuman Ji’s temple in Civil Line Prayagraj and then sweeping the Sangam Ghat under the Swachhata Seva Pakhwada, which runs from  Prime Minister  Narendra Modi’s birthday on 17 September to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary on 2 October 2024. He also reached Hanuman Temple in Civil Line and offered prayers,

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Swachhata Seva Pakhwada is not just a campaign, but a symbol of responsibility towards our society and country. Cleanliness is not only related to our health, but it is also essential for our quality of life and environmental protection. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan under the leadership of  Prime Minister has created a new wave of awareness across the country. Today it is our responsibility to take this effort further. Cleanliness is not limited to the cleaning of roads and streets, but it should also be reflected in our thoughts, habits and work style. Cleanliness is extremely important for our health. Many serious diseases spread due to dirt and garbage. Therefore, we should be conscious of cleanliness individually and collectively.

We not only have to pay attention to the cleanliness of our home and surrounding areas, but also have to take steps to maintain environmental balance. He called upon the people to spread cleanliness in their respective areas. Maintain cleanliness in schools, hospitals, and public places and inspire others for this. We have to understand that cleanliness is not only a government responsibility, it is the responsibility of all of us. Only through our collective efforts can we build a clean, healthy and advanced society. Everyone should make cleanliness a part of their life. It is the duty of all of us to keep working continuously to make our country and state clean and beautiful.

On this occasion, while talking to media representatives, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the people of Prayagraj are witnesses, I am also a witness. Who have seen the grand and divine event of Kumbh-2019. The upcoming Mahakumbh-2025 will be historic, divine, grand and clean.

He said that while about 24 crore people had come to Kumbh-2019, this number is expected to double in this Maha Kumbh Mela. There is enthusiasm about the Maha Kumbh Mela across the country. He said that all the preparations related to the fair will be completed on time.

The Deputy Chief Minister also garlanded the statues of great men located at Balsan intersection. He garlanded the statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay located at Balsan intersection in Prayagraj and bowed down. He also garlanded the statue of Lal Bahadur Shastri at Medical College intersection.

In Prayagraj district, the news of the death of former MLA of Meja,  Neelam Karvariya  was received, the Deputy Chief Minister reached the residence of her family members and paid tribute by offering flowers to her memorial picture and expressed condolences by meeting the family members. He participated as the chief guest in another important Swachhata Seva Seminar. On this occasion, apart from Mayor Shri Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesarwani, Shri Rajendra Mishra and other honourable public representatives, a large number of people were present.
