Lucknow: Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Foreign Trade and Agricultural Export, Dinesh Pratap Singh, who reached Turkey on behalf of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, inaugurated the exhibition of the state’s Horticulture and Food Processing Department organized at the 04-day International Food Exhibition (World Food Istanbul) organized in Turkey.
On this occasion, he said that there is a special partnership between India and Turkey in the field of export / import in various fields. He invited the producers, importers, exporters and entrepreneurs of various countries and Turkey participating in the exhibition to come to Uttar Pradesh on behalf of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and urged them to set up modern units of food processing industry in the state.
He said that in view of the popularity of Uttar Pradesh’s food products abroad, the Uttar Pradesh government will adopt a special strategy to export good quality food products and other horticultural crops. He said that this is the first time that the Uttar Pradesh government is participating in the World Food Expo organized in Turkey. Horticulture Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh discussed in detail with the representatives of many countries who came to the exhibition on the production of horticultural crops and agricultural products and their import-export and products related to food processing.
In view of the immense possibilities and huge demand for export of mangoes of Uttar Pradesh in Turkey, he discussed in this regard and the delegation decided to organize a mango exhibition in Istanbul in the next year 2025. He said that good, tasty and quality agricultural and horticultural products of Uttar Pradesh are in demand all over the world. Turkey is also included in it.
The Horticulture Minister discussed with the representatives who came during the inaugural session and appealed to the processing entrepreneurs to set up processing units in Bundelkhand and other areas of Uttar Pradesh. He emphasized on adopting the high yielding modern farming of corn of Turkey in the state.
On the request of the Horticulture Minister, an industrialist from Gujarat doing business in Turkey assured to set up industries related to various products made from peanuts in Bundelkhand region. He informed the representatives and exporters of various countries about the World Food India to be held in Bharat Mandapam Delhi and invited them to participate in the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show.
