21 Meritorious High School and Intermediate Students Honoured in Gonda

Gonda: Twenty-one meritorious students who excelled in the High School and Intermediate examinations were felicitated at a special award ceremony held at the District Panchayat Auditorium in Gonda on Monday. The event celebrated the academic achievements of the district’s top-performing students and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.

The students were honoured by Gonda Sadar MLA Prateek Bhushan Singh, Karnailganj MLA Ajay Singh, District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan, Chief Development Officer Dayanand Prasad, and Ramashankar Mishra, representative of the Member of Parliament from Gonda and Union Minister of State for External Affairs. The dignitaries presented the students with certificates of appreciation, mementoes, and a cash award of ₹21,000 each.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers congratulated the students on their outstanding achievements and described them as a source of pride for the district. They said the success of these young achievers would inspire other students to pursue their goals with dedication, discipline, and perseverance.

Officials informed that a total of 21 students were selected for the honour. Of these, seven students were felicitated by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh at a state-level ceremony held at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow, while the remaining 14 students were honoured at the district-level function in Gonda.

Among the seven students honoured in Lucknow, one belonged to the Sanskrit Education Board, while six were from the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board). Overall, 20 students from the UP Board and one student from the Sanskrit Board were recognized for their exceptional academic performance.

The dignitaries emphasized that education remains the most powerful tool for social and national development. They noted that the achievements of meritorious students strengthen the educational reputation of the district and serve as a motivating example for future generations.

The programme was attended by District Inspector of Schools Dr. Ram Chandra, Basic Education Officer Amit Kumar Singh, Divisional Sports Secretary Sweta Mishra, and several officials and staff members from the Education Department.

The ceremony concluded with best wishes for the students’ bright future and a reaffirmation of the administration’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and nurturing young talent in the district.
