Lucknow: As many as 17 officers recently elevated from the Provincial Civil Service (PCS) to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) are expected to receive fresh postings in Uttar Pradesh soon. The officers are currently serving in various administrative capacities across the state, and a new round of appointments is likely to assign them responsibilities in different departments and districts.
The officers include Raj Kumar Dwivedi, presently serving as Additional Commissioner, Vindhyachal Division, and Harsh Dev Pandey, who is serving as Controller of Examinations for UPPCS.
Shailendra Kumar Singh is currently posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) with the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), while Narendra Bahadur Singh is serving as Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue), Lakhimpur Kheri.
The list also includes Santosh Bahadur Singh, ADM (Executive), Saharanpur; Vijay Kumar Singh, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Deoria; Sushila, Additional Commissioner, Kanpur; and Atul Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Moradabad.
Among the other officers awaiting fresh assignments are Amit Singh, Deputy Chief Electoral Officer; Priyanka Singh, Commandant, Civil Defence Training Institute; and Amit Kumar, ADM (Executive), Kanpur Dehat.
Garima Swaroop is serving as OSD, Election, Uttar Pradesh, while Sandeep Kumar is posted as ADM (Finance and Revenue), Hapur. Rakesh Kumar Singh is serving as ADM (Finance and Revenue), Lucknow, and another Amit Kumar is posted as Additional Commissioner, Meerut.
The proposed changes also include Poonam Nigam, Deputy Secretary, UPPCS, and Dr Nitin Madan, ADM (Executive), Rampur.
The expected postings are part of the administrative adjustments following the officers’ induction into the IAS. Once the government issues the formal transfer and posting orders, the officers are likely to take charge of their new responsibilities.
The move is significant as the officers, having transitioned from the state civil services to the IAS, are expected to assume assignments corresponding to their new cadre status. The final designations, departments and places of posting will be confirmed only after the official government orders are issued.
