Lucknow: The final day of the Jain community’s Daslakshan Parv was observed with devotion at the Jain Temple in Indira Nagar, where Uttam Brahmacharya Dharma and the Moksha Kalyanak of the 12th Jain Tirthankara, Lord Vasupujya, were celebrated.
Temple minister Abhishek Jain said devotees placed Lord Vasupujya on the Pandu Shila and performed an abhishek with 108 golden kalash while reciting Riddhi-Siddhi mantras. A Shantidhara ceremony was subsequently performed with prayers for world peace. The honour of conducting the Shantidhara was given to the families of Abhay, Dheeraj, Anurodh, Abhishek, Atishay, Sanyam, Pravijnan, Sanat, Mahavir and Manoj Jain.

The Daslakshan Vidhan concluded with a havan. Shipra, Anita, Rita, Khushbu and Raj Jain were among the devotees who attended the programme.

The Daslakshan Mahaparv also concluded at the Gomti Nagar Jain Temple, where Uttam Brahmacharya Dharma was worshipped on the tenth and final day.
Jain scholar Pandit Jain Shastri, who came from Sanganer, conducted the abhishek and spoke about the importance of restraint, purity and mutual respect. He said the pursuit of physical pleasure at the expense of values could lead to the deterioration of life, while true celibacy and spiritual discipline develop through purity of thought and respect between men and women.

Temple minister Alok Jain said special worship of Lord Anantnath was also performed on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi. The main Shantidhara was performed by the families of Avinash Jain, Sukant-Nikant Jain, Mayank-Monu Jain and Amit Jain.
The Moksha Kalyanak of Shri 1008 Vasupujya Bhagwan was also observed, with devotees offering laddus. The honour of making the offering was given to the Anita-Vaishali Jain family.
Former DGP and president of Lucknow Jain Pravardhani Sabha A.K. Jain felicitated the scholars. Gomti Nagar Jain Samaj president P.K. Jain, minister Alok Jain, Sukant Jain, Sandeep, Rachit, Amit, Vinay Kapoor and Mahavir Gangwal were among those present. Members of the women’s wing, including Anita, Dipali, Deepika, Julie and Sapna, presented devotional songs.
