UPMRC Showcases Innovations at 17th Urban Mobility India Conference

The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) proudly participated in the 17th Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference, which is taking place from October 25 to 27, 2024, in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. UPMRC has set up an engaging pavilion stall at the expo to showcase its innovative solutions and advancements in metro rail infrastructure.

The  Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendrabhai Patel, visited the UPMRC stall and commended the rapid execution of all three metro projects in Uttar Pradesh. His appreciation underscores UPMRC’s commitment to enhancing urban mobility through efficient and timely project delivery.

The session was addressed by Secretary MoHUA  Srinivasa Kathikithala , where he welcomed all the delegates and metro corporations and highlighted the importance for better mobility solutions in the cities across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, MD UPMRC  Sushil Kumar said, “ UPMRC is proudly participating in the 17th UMI conference and completing the tunnel work for Agra Metro’s priority stretch in just 11 months has been an illustrious achievement for UPMRC. Agra metro’s timely completion and the record of completion of entire underground stretch in just 23 months has been this year’s highlight for us.”

The UMI Conference serves as a vital platform for stakeholders to discuss innovative practices and strategies aimed at improving urban transportation across India. UPMRC’s participation reinforces its dedication to advancing urban mobility solutions and contributing to the nation’s infrastructure development.

In 2023 Lucknow Metro had Won National Award of Excellence as “The Metro Rail With Best Passenger Service and Satisfaction“from Government of India. Also in 2019 and 2022 Lucknow Metro received National Awards for Excellence in Urban Transport and Best Multi Modal Integration by GoI at the UMI conference.
